Tasks & Responsibilities
Production Work - Batching, pouring, lidding, labelling, packing
Receiving & Dispatching Goods
Operating Forklift – Loading/unloading trucks, handling raw materials for production, managing storage of pallets/drums/IBCs
Equipment Proficiency – Various production equipment is used to aid in the manufacturing process, which you will need to familiarise yourself with – this will include set up, operation, identifying issues and ensuring they run smoothly e.g. filling machines, labelling machines, wax melters
Handling Hazardous Materials – e.g. flammable liquids, solvents, oils, dyes, powders - correct PPE to be used
Manual Handling – frequent handling of cartons/materials (10kg-25kg)
On Your Feet – long periods of standing will be required to fulfil your role
Effective Communication – daily communication with team members is essential
Warehouse Upkeep – maintain, organise and clean up – keep working area to a high standard
Equipment Upkeep – general cleaning and maintenance of equipment is essential
Qualifications & Experience
Drivers Licence - essential
Warehouse or Production Experience – favourable
Production Equipment Familiarity - favourable
Forklift Licence – favourable
Gilly’s will cover the course fees for the right candidate
Hazchem Handling Certificate – Favourable

Founded in 1983 by Gilly Stephenson, to create a range of premium beeswax-based polishes suitable for use on fine antiques. The range, however, has since expanded to service furniture makers, home stores, supermarkets and large format hardware stores across Australia/NZ. Gilly’s has a strong focus on quality, sustainability and customer service.
