Located in the picturesque historical village of Evandale, a 15 minute drive South of Launceston, the Evandale Village Store stocks a well curated range of bespoke and well made traditional homewares, both local and imported.

The late Georgian and early Victorian architecture of Evandale is a read drawcard for visitors. The National Penny Farthing Championship is held in the streets of the village each February - the perfect backdrop for such an event. Market stalls and entertainment run by the village residents support the race. Renowned colonial painter John Glover featured this countryside in his landscapes and became known as the 'father of Australian landscape painting'.
Housed in the original village store built in 1843, the Evandale Village Store continues the legacy of the original business. Even the historical store fit-out is still used today in the National Heritage Listed building.
Owner Carolyn, left Tasmania at the age of 19 to work in Victoria and started a successful business in 1998 named Est, specialising in a unique range of all natural body products using the finest organic and natural ingredients and raw materials. The Est business operates from a store located at 134 Auburn Road, Hawthorn in Victoria. With her solid business and retail background, opening the Evandale Village Store 2018 was an opportunity to revive the original country store and expand her creative flair.

Having spent her childhood in Tasmania, Carolyn had often visited the general store in Evandale as a little girl with her family, when it was a supermarket. She has cherished memories of when the owners would hand out bags of lollies to children. Locals who come into the store today are reminded of their childhood days.
Whilst the store is in very good original condition, ongoing authentic restoration of the store has ensured that the experience of shopping there transports customers back in time.
For those who are able to visit the town, Carolyn welcomes vistors to her amazing store. Otherwise, for some online shopping you can visit the websites by clicking on the links below:
